- Recommendation to redirect the skill and expertise of public servants to provide and deliver services on the frontline.
- Recommendation to engage with the local community and learn about initiatives / programs working successfully on the ground.
- Recommendation to engage youth and discuss with them the issues and problems they face and what solutions are required to solve these problems.
- Concern for how initiatives, programs and services are to be funded considering our State’s deficit.
- Recommendation to focus on increased public transport options including rail extensions and light rail developments. This will encourage people to use public transport rather than drive.

Smarter Stream - Education:
- Recommendation to target teachers ensuring their enthusiasm is maintained and a high standard of education is delivered.
- A lack of air conditioning can make the classroom environment difficult for learning.
- Recommendation to support public education system to help cater for children with special needs.
- Recommendation to increase and support apprenticeships / traineeships to ensure there are plenty of opportunities for young people.
- Increased truancy is not being dealt with – children are easily able to leave school without being questioned. Students need incentives to come to school.
- Recommendation to ensure education is available to all rather than those who can afford it.

Stronger Stream - Community Services, Volunteering & Disability Services:
- Recommendation for individualised packages / services for carers and people with a disability. This needs to be complemented with support for NGOs ensuring they have the capacity to deliver the services needed.
- Recommendation for the Liberals & Nationals to support the Stronger Together Program through funding.
- Recommendation to support for the National Disabilities Insurance Scheme
- Recommendation to reform the education system and educate teachers to better deal with children who have autism.
- Concern regarding long waiting lists for DADHC creates difficulties for families trying access services. Families in poor socio-economic circumstances are not able to purchase services privately.
- Recommendation for greater statistical research on the prevalence of autism to ensure services are provided in the right sectors / locations.
- Recommendation to help individuals / families live normally and ease the burden on carers of sacrificing work and jobs.
- Recommendation to increase density of public housing and ensure housing is located near public transport systems, allowing tenants to access and participate with the local community.
- Recommendation to put systems in place to ensure housing is affordable and tenants moving in are financially able to sustain paying rent.

Healthier Stream:
- Concern among youth that local parks and fields are being closed off or used for development purposes, depriving them of locations to play sport and remain active before and after school, this potentially leading to youth turning to crime.

Safer Stream – Police:
- Recommendation to increase police engagement with the community. Relationships and partnerships need to be fostered between the police force and the community to ensure they are working together to create a safer community.
