Smarter Stream – Education:
- Recommendation for programs/services that ensure students’ transition from Year 6 into High School is smooth. Bridging courses should be available to ensure children are mentally, emotionally and academically prepared for High school.
- Request for NSW Liberals & Nationals commitment to ensure students can read and write to a certain level once leaving school and entering the workforce.

Stronger Stream – Community Services, Volunteering & Disability Services:
- Higher level of support for carers
- New models for housing necessary to support carers / individuals with a disability and a mental illness (co-morbidity)
- Should be incentives for carers – tax incentive to help carers deal with supporting family / friends with disabilities / increased pension payments.

Healthier Stream:
- Community concern about alcoholism in the Eastern suburbs region and the need to curtail the sale of liquor and reduce the operating hours of licensed venues. If access and availability is restricted this will generate better outcomes for the community.
- Need to provide a safe environment and encourage youth to get involved and participate in activities unrelated to alcohol.
- Funding required to help develop a Healthy Lifestyle Program to teach children about growing vegetables, cooking and providing nutritional advice.
- Further emphasis on keeping the elderly out of our hospital system by improving nutritional and dental issues – intervention / prevention.
- Needs the State Government to listen to and support community based initiatives.
- Needs to be further emphasis on building partnerships between the Government and the community, especially in terms of health service delivery – provide incentives encouraging the community to get involved.

Safer Stream – Police:
- Concern regarding further closures / sales of police stations (Malabar)
- Desire for a consistent and potentially increased police presence throughout the Eastern Suburbs region, ensuring community empowerment and safety.
