| Frequently Asked Questions |
Who can make a submission? The NSW Liberals & Nationals believe that policy should be developed in close consultation with the community and business. We welcome submissions and comments from individuals, businesses or any other organisation. Will my submission become policy? The NSW Liberals & Nationals will consider every submission that is put to us. Not all submissions will become policy; however the contributions they make will inform our final policy mix. What are the outcomes of the consultation process? The consultation process will deliver a range of ideas about how we can inform, measure, prioritise and achieve our goals. These will be incorporated into our policy agenda that we will implement in Government in 2011. Is this just an open invitation for ideas? No. The consultation process is structured on clear principles and specific goals. Your submissions should either provide direct feedback on the goals, their measurement and/or provide ideas on how we can achieve these in Government. When will the outcomes of the consultation process be made public? The submissions the NSW Liberals & Nationals adopt as policies will be announced in advance of the NSW State election. What happens to previous submissions made to the NSW Liberal/Nationals?Many individuals and organisations have already provided us with their ideas on social policy. We will be incorporating all of these into the consultation process. Can I just have my say?Yes. Submissions do not have to be written. From 21 September 2009 we will be hosting public meetings to obtain your feedback. The dates for these meetings will be published on our website. How should I structure my submission? There is a submission pro-forma on our website for those needing guidance on structuring a submission. What if I have more questions?Any questions can be made in the Contact section. |
